COVID-19 INFECTION PREVENTION TIPS FROM DR. NINA
STAY INFORMED
There are ways to protect yourself against the virus. Social distancing, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, avoiding touching your face, coughing/sneezing into your elbow (even when wearing a mask), and always having a face mask in public places are all ways to help keep everyone safe and to slow the spread.

MASK UP
Wear a mask! Wearing a face mask can help stop the virus from spreading and protect everyone, including those among us that are most vulnerable.

KEEP CLEAN
Consider these tips to keep your mask clean:

(1) Before putting on your mask, make sure your hands are washed or sanitized.

(2) To take off, remove each ear strap carefully. Try to avoid touching the actual mask.

(3) Cloth masks can be put in the washing machine or washed by hand and hung to dry. Make sure your detergent is fragrance free if you have sensitive skin.

(4) When you take your mask in public, be careful not to sit it down just anywhere. Storing it in a clean paper or plastic bag can reduce the risk of contamination.

BE MINDFUL
Using your phone while wearing your mask can contaminate it, and your hands.

If you develop a rash from the mask, decrease the times you need to wear one.

If you have anxiety, breathing issues, or feel restricted, take your mask off.

Kids under two don’t need masks.
